How to create my VOLUME WAVES step by step:
I personally, let my heir air dry first, because ya girl has a lot of hair & natural volume to work with already!
To start I add my miracle serum to hydrate my mane & tame the frizz! This is a MUST HAVE from me!
Then I blow dry roots!! My Supersonic Hair Dryer is the fastest drying tool I’ve ever used & is absolutely worth all of the money! Saving time & smooothing the frizz in one! That a “yes” from me, dawg!
Then, it’s time for the real show to being! Spritz your hair with heat protectant, always use protection friends! I have been consistently reaching for the Sebastian Trilliant, she can do no wrong!
Next: get those tools nice and HOT HOT HOT
Plug in your waver & turn her on! I love the Bed Head Wave Artist I have the earlier edition of it & have been very pleased with it for over 4 years!! Set that straightener to 340 degrees. I LOVE my BaByliss! light weight, makes curling with a flat iron flawless & she never fails me!
Part your hair from top of the ears back & clip the rest up! May I suggest “The Clip” from the B//B Shop! You will never need another clip EVER again. Short, long, thin, thick, straight, course: this clip is for YOU!
Now for the MAIN EVENT!!
Grab a 1 inch vertical section of hair. Waving every other 1 inch section by alternating between the flat side of your waver facing the mirror & facing the ceiling! The alternating each section & wave direction will help to create volume & texture!
The less uniformity the better! It keeps curls from laying on top of each other creating, yes, MORE volume! TURN UP THE VOLUME HONEY!
Keep bottom 2 inches or your waved hairs out of said waver & straighten the bottom 3-4 inches to tame frizz & make it a lil more rock’n’roll!
TIP: The bigger the section & thicker the hair the longer you will need to hold the waver on your hair. Follow your heart & test it out a few times before committing! You’ve got this, sis!
Your next section of hair: Part from temples back & clip remaining hair up & outta the way!
For this section, you are going to grab that straightener to create curls. Get those 1 inch vertical sections ready & alternating between curling toward & away from the face! Again, straighten the ends of your curls here!
Next section!! Part everything but the crown & use the waver on the top section of hair, just like we did for the first section!!
ALMOST THERE!!
Our last section: let the crown down & pick your poison! Waver or straightener to curl! Go waver for more volume! Straightener will give a messy boho look! You do you, boo!
Finish off with a texture spray/hairspray I am still loving KRISTEN ESS ‘Soft Shine Beach Wave Spray’ & comb through your curls with fingers! Last: Run yer oil through the ends to keep the texture piecey & hydrated! Bless you Kerastase Elixir Ultime L’Huile Original Beautifying Hair Oil for existing!!
