Since you have now all endured a video with me half naked, I thought I owed you an detailed explanation of  my sunless tanning routine : how I prep, how often I apply and how long the tan lasts!

PREP : To get my skin as soft as humanly possible I use these INCREDIBLE KOREAN BATH TOWELS , which also help to scrub off any remaining tanner from my previous application! These work very best after you’ve been in the shower for 5+ minutes and you will just see all the dead skin pill off your body 🙌🏼 Then I use THIS COFFEE SCRUB to exfoliate the rest of my body and prep for shaving. I love this stuff because it leaves your skin fresh, but also hydrated. THIS SHOWER OIL is what I use to shave and cleanse my skin with and I although it costs $34 I will never quit it. It gives me a close shave and leaves my skin hydrated so that I don’t feel like I need a lotion before I apply my tanner!

APPLICATION : I do this process probably once a week (give or take a few days) because I like my tan pretty dark, but THIS TANNING MOUSSE builds beautifully on top of itself and wears off really nicely so you can reapply as much as you’d like to achieve the color that you want. I adore that not only does this mousse have stable color, but it has ZERO smell and is safe for even us pregnant babes!! THIS MICROFIBER MITT is a must for smooth application! Apply the mousse to the mitt directly and then massage product into the skin in small circular motions being careful to blend the dry parts of your skin (elbows, wrists, knees, ankles) LAST 👍🏼 I have found that my face breaks out if I use the same mitt and products as on my body so I have grown to love this GRADUAL TANNING SERUM and add it to my moisturizer every other day to keep a glowy tan on my face (TIP : since I moisturize and cleanse my face more often than my body I find that I must use this oil more often than my body tanner to keep the two shades the same.) After I have applied my mousse I love to deepen the color a bit by using THIS TANNING MIST which is super simple to use and great for touch ups if I find the tan is fading faster than I thought.

UPKEEP : I usually apply my tanner at night, sleep in it (to allow the color to deepen) and then shower in the morning! After I shower then I use a GENTLE MOISTURIZER (TIP : steer clear of oils!! These will break down your tan faster!) to keep the skin hydrated and keep my tan looking great for as long as possible! I love this BRONZING LOTION for touch ups in a pinch, but if my tan is fading faster than I would like or I want to quickly deepen the color I will just apply THE TANNING MIST!

That’s all!! I know this feels like a lot of info, BUT once I get the routine down it goes super quickly and is truly something I look forward to and crave!

Is it just me, or do you just feel better with a tan? It is shocking to me how many notches my confidence goes up in a binki when I have just gotten a spray tan. Legit, I feel like I can take on the world. So to keep consistent with my Beyonce “run the world” vibe I have just taken that spray tan life into my own hands and HEEEERRRREE are the ones I cannot live without!

If you are planning on applying ANY sunless tanning product ever, then you need a good mitt to apply it with! I found THIS mitt from Skinerals on Amazon for just $9 and I haven’t looked back. I simply apply the product directly to the mitt and then apply to the skin in small circular motions! This brand even has a Back Applicator Wand so that you can get to those hard to reach place on your back seamlessly without effort – can I get a hallelujah!? I have used A LOT of applicator mitts in my day and this one is the best in the biz and is the cheapest of any I have ever found!!

The “Tan Overnight” sunless tanner from SUN in Medium doesn’t just come with a pump 🙌🏼, but is the perfect and hydrating color for you pale babes! I know that it is hard to find a sunless tanner that doesn’t go too dark or red for you fair ladies and THIS is just the ticket. You can use it like a gradual tanner if you aren’t as fair, but I LOOOOOOVED this in the winter for a subtle glow. Oh AND it’s paraben free sooooooo 👍🏼

I used to SWEAR by the TanWise mousse from Sally Beauty, but lately the Miami Gorgeous “LaPlaya Glow Mousse” has quickly taken over that favorite spot. It has ZERO smell, dries so quickly and because of the incredible ingredients {like Argan Oil and Vitamins A,D and C} it keeps my skin looking healthy and hydrated! The tan is just dark enough, but has that green undertone to keep you from looking red.

I have used this “Tahitain Tan Mist” from South Seas for years and although it is a bit more than the others I have mentioned it is just soooooo simple to use and gives me the best color! I just spray directly onto my face, chest and arms and if there are any patches I use a big fluffy brush to blend everything together. No rubbing and the color appears immediately, but darkens up over time!

I know this topic can be super personal, so I want to hear your favorites!

Since it is 😱 52 DEGREES 😱 outside rn, what better time than NOW to share my bffs in the self tan department girrrrrrl!! If the sun don’t shine, don’t mean you need to be pasty 💁🏻Any great tan starts with supple, soft and clean skin, read: EXFOLIATION! Here are the tools that I use to get the perfect canvas for a sunless tan 🙌🏼

Move aside $2 exfoliation mitts and heeeeeellllllooooo exfoliators that WORK!

The South Korean’s have the corner on this market because they start their babes into exfoliation at the spry young age of 5/6. The entire family hits up the K-Spa for skin treatments and those spas use THESE tools!

First up at the Japanese Salux towels which are best for full body exfoliation and allow you to get those tricky areas like your back! I looooove to use these BEFORE I shave so that I can get the closest shave possible. These are also the ONLY thing that actually work for me in removing any excess tan. These come in a pack of three so you’ll have enough to last you 6 months or so!

This smaller version of the exfoliating towels are easy to use and although they are small they seriously DELIVER great exfoliation. I love using these Korean Washcloths on my arms, neck, chest and the tops of my feet for a more gentle exfoliation on that thin skin! These come in a two pack of 4 (8 total!!) and they are SO cheap, I looooove giving these as gifts!! Happy skin = happy tan!
