summer skin dreaminess

My go-to-the-pool, glow-all-day, great-for-my-skin, LOOKS-like-skin-but-better foundation combo is this 👆🏼👆🏼👆🏼 dynamic duo!! To say I’m obsessed with @beautycounter Hydrating Skin Tint would be a reeeeaaaaal dramatic understatement. Then pair it with the @morphebrushes M439 and you’ve got dewy coverage that looks and feels like a mother-friggin DREAM!

I was real real skeptical about the Beauty Counter goods – I am a makeup junkie and stuff just has to WERK or I toss it. When this was first sent my way I was anxious to try it (hello great ingredients!!), but I left it in the box for a bit because I was so nervous to be let down. After using this for a month or so I can confidently say this is my favorite everyday foundation that I own!!

It leaves the skin looking like skin (DUH!), but glowy, healthy and simply evens out my skin tone. By no means is this a full coverage foundation, but I am obsessed with how it feels on my skin so I can handle my breakouts peeking through. It goes on like a great moisturizer and combined with my primer it doesn’t move on my throughout the day. I rest easy wearing this on my acne prone skin because I know it is full of great ingredients that won’t irritate or clog my pores!

I prefer applying this with the dense, DENSE buffing brush M439 from Morphe to get more coverage, but you can absolutely apply with your finger tips for a more sheer application.

I have the shades “sand” and “honey”, just for reference!!

Just pulled in from a week in Lake Powell and thought it would be the perfect time to share with you the three staples that never leave my pool bag! I want to note: I hate sunscreen and these are my baaaaaaaaaabes 😍

FROM Left to Right: I have always loathed lip sunscreens because they leave my lips white and chalky, but I don’t have time for sunburned lips soooooo I have always powered through the pain, ha! This tinted lipbalm sunscreen from Pacifica I snagged from Target on a whim as been LIIIIIIIFFFFE though!! SPF 30 and a flattering nude tint are just what I needed at the lake!

I have used and sworn by this powder sunscreen from ColorScience for YEARS now. You guys, DO NOT let the price tag deter you. I can confidently say that this is the best $57 dollars I spend in the entire year! One tube has actually lasted me two years (yikes!) and it is my go-to for the pool bag. Since it is a powder I can throw this on OVER my full face of makeup and reapply as I need without disturbing the rest of my makeup. It absorbs oil/water too so that even right after getting out of the water I can reapply and feel fresh and protected. I LOVE using this in my part so that I don’t have to get greasy sunscreen all over my hair and I can keep from getting sunburned on my poor scalp!! Since it’s all mineral as well it’s safe to use on your kids in a bind. I CANNOT express how deep my love is for this product, you guys, it’s deeeeeeep!

Since I hate sunscreen I started on a mission to find one that had good ingredients, but didn’t leave my skin feeling dehydrated and chalky – Enter Missha Essence Sun Milk!! It’s just $17 for 2oz and is the last step in my skincare everyday. It doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin and I am so impressed by how incredible my skin feels after using it and how well it works.

Stay safe in the sun my friends and take care of your precious face!

FAVE: moisturizer

I have posted about this before, but now being on my third tub, I feel like it has earned it’s rightful spot in my “favorites”!!

I am no stranger to #kbeauty, but this Belif ‘moisturizing bomb’ is saving my skin folks. Not only does it provide ULTIMATE moisture {think bouncy fresh skin}, but it doesn’t feel heavy or sticky on the skin which in turn, won’t clog those precious pores 🙌🏼 It’s honestly unlike anything I have ever used and has QUICKLY become a desert island product, for sure.

If are more of the oily skin type they also have an incredible pore-minimizing version of the same moisturizer that ACTUALLy has better reviews than the Moisturizing Bomb. The Belif Aqua Bomb is any oily gals best friend, leaving the skin soft, bright and supple, but NOT tacky or greasy!!

PRO TIP: Wait about 15-20 minutes between applying your moisturizer and applying your primer/foundation! That will allow the product to fully absorb into the skin and will not disrupt with the other products you apply to the face.
