I thought it only appropriate, on #NationalPunctuationDay, to show you the hair products that make me !?!?😱?!?! So you’re in for a real treat!!! Not only have these products from changed my hair game, BUT they are found at Target and are all less than $20. That is what you call a major win!
The Kristin Ess “Beach Wave Spray” is THE BEST for adding texture and grit to the hair & when I say best, I mean I prefer this to my $50 Oribe products. Her dry shampoo is THE MOST absorbent “Dry Shampoo” I have found and truthfully every time I am at Target I grab another bottle for fear that I may run out of this stuff in five years 😉 Lastly, since I have really dry coarse hair I swear by the Kristin Ess “Working Serum” to hydrate and separate my ends after I use all the dry and texturing products!
After I spend all that time styling and zhushing ain’t NOBODY got time to do that more than once a week (anyone else end up a sweaty mess after styling your hair??)! So to make it last as long as freakin’ possible here are my tips of the trade to make.it.laaaaaast baby!
First things first, don’t let your night face wash routine interrupt with your fabulous hairs! I do not wash my face without my Spa Headband that keeps my hair dry and out of my face. Then in between washes I STILL shower, but I keep my hair back in my beloved Dry Bar “The Morning After” shower cap. I swear by this shower cap because it keeps the water out and keeps my style dry dry dry.
I don’t typically use dry shampoo until day 3-4, but when I do I use it at night!! This is a trick that I have used for years and it gives you the most lift!! Using it at night allows the product to fully absorb the oils in the hair and gives you a bed-head lift at the roots. I prefer using the Kristin Ess Dry Shampoo before bed because it has a more powdery feel and REALLY absorbs the excess oils in my hair.
Because I have dry hair I love using the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day “Night Cap Overnight Perfector” through the ends in my hair because it helps to hydrate my hair and repairs my brittle ends while I sleep!
In the morning I will use my favorite tinted dry shampoo from Joico “Tint Shot” in Dark Brown and then brush through my roots with the Wet Brush “Pro Shine”! This brush helps to dispurse the healthy oils through the hair and blend your dry shampoo into the hair.
Best of lucky making your hair last as long as humanly possible & getting the MOST of your styling efforts!

I am not from Texas, but I strongly believe the bigger the hair the closer to God. Anyone else?? Well, if you ALSO believe in big hair then I got you girl! Here are all the tools and products that I use to give me that vavavooooooom.
I always let my hair air dry, but I cannot live without my after-shower routine that keeps my hair full and frizz free. (1) I swear by a frizz reducing towel from DevaCurl that is “technically” for curly hair, but if you have ANY sort of frizz then you need a towel that won’t strip your hair of moisture! After using my microfiber towel to dry my hair I SWEAR by the Bumble and Bumble “Thickening Spray” in my roots and my Wella “Oil Reflections” smoothing oil through the ends of my hair! My hair is course and frizzy, but needs taming and a LOT of lift at the roots.
After letting my hair air dry I am ready to style (goodness know it needs help ;)! I first spritz my hair with the Sebastian “Trilliant Thermal Protection” spray to keep my hair protected from any heat and add in a lil’ bit of shine to my dull strands. Then I use both my Bed Head “Beach Waver” to create waves and my Babyliss Pro 1 1/4″ Titanium Straightener to create loose curls. I rotate between these two tools to ensure that I get volume, volume, VOLUME!
Once my curls are set, then I use the Kristin Ess Beach Wave Spray to keep my hair lifted and my treasured Sebastian MicroWeb Fiber to keep each strand textured and separated. Easy peasy!!
I will show you all my tips for going 7+ days with one style tomorrow!!!
